KDevelop 4.3.0 Final Released With Basic C++11 Support
After about nine months of extensive development, the KDevelop team is happy to announce the immediate availability of KDevelop 4.3. As usual, this feature release comes packed with new features, bug fixes and improved performance.
KDevelop 4.3.1 Released with improved GCC 4.7 compliance
Just one month after the KDevelop 4.3.0 release, we are happy to announce the immediate availability of KDevelop 4.3.1 - a stable bugfix release.
KDevelop 4.4.0 Beta 1 Released
After quite some downtime in the last summer weeks, the KDevelop team finally has a new release in the pipelines: KDevelop 4.4.0. Today we are happy to announce the availability of the first Beta release!
This release comes packed with bug fixes and improvements as usually. A special addition to the KDevelop experience is the new welcome page, which should make it easier for newcomers to use KDevelop and improve the workflow for existing users as well. Looking at existing plugins, we note that among others, the CMake, CVS and Patch Review plugins have seen quite some improvements.
Please test this release and give us feedback to ensure a smooth 4.4 release.

The KDevelop team is happy to announce the immediate availability of KDevelop 4.4. As usual, this feature release comes packed with new features, bug fixes and improved performance. New in this release is a shiny welcome screen for improved usability and an easier entry into the KDevelop world.
KDevelop 4.4.1 Available
After just two weeks the KDevelop team is happy to announce the availability of KDevelop 4.4.1! This release increases the stability and contains a few other bug fixes. Everyone is urged to upgrade as soon as possible.
kdev-python 1.4 released!
After about two years of development and 894 commits, I'm happy to announce the first stable release of kdev-python! kdev-python is the Python language support plugin for KDevelop, which provides syntax checking, code completion, quickopen support, and much more for the Python scripting language. For details, please refer to the announcement on my blog.

Mailing Lists Moved to KDE Infrastructure

Today it seems as if our mailing list server has died. Thankfully, we where in the process of moving them over to the KDE infrastructure in conformance to the KDE manifesto.

KDevelop Hacksprint Vienna 2012 Report

We have a focus on C++ and CMake, but you can find it useful when using other languages such as PHP and Python.

Half a year after the first stable release, I'm happy to announce the release of kdev-python 1.5 today, which brings Python support to KDevelop 1.5. After five months of work the KDevelop team is pleased to announce KDevelop 4.5.2. It comes packed with more than twenty bug fixes, among which are stability improvements that should benefit many users. As such, it is highly suggested to update to the new version as soon as possible.
KDevelop 4.5.2 is going to be the last patch release in the 4.5 time frame. We are already busily hacking away at KDevelop 4.6, which will come with even more bug fixes, higher stability, improved performance and better visuals and workflows. Stay tuned for the release at the end of the year!
